Earlier today, Viaje announced on their Facebook that the Zombie would be returning this year. Unlike last year’s debut, when it only went to the Tobacco Grove/BURN Premium Cigar group of retailers in Minnesota, it appears three different stores will be receiving this year’s shipment.

While there was nothing in terms of price, vitola (see below) and release size, Viaje posted the following information:

Sacramento, Tucson and Wichita have been leveled………Fallout wrecking havoc on citizens……..Cities being overrun by what has been confirmed as ZOMBIES……..Contact reporters on scene for more information……

In addition, the names of the owners of three shops and their phone numbers were posted. The three retailers were:

While none have received their cigars, there are waiting lists already going.

Viaje has confirmed to halfwheel that the cigar will be 4 7/8 x 52 featuring double triple caps, i.e. closed at both ends via triple caps, featuring the same Nicaraguan puro blend as last year.

The Zombie will  once again come in boxes of 20 with MSRP set at $10.00 per cigar, making it $.50 cheaper than last year’s version which was the same size.

The exact number of boxes is still unknown.

In addition, there will be two events in May for the Zombie:

  • May 18, 2012 — Anthony’s Cigar Emporium (Tucson, AZ)
  • May 19, 2012 — The Humidor Cigar and Lounge (Wichita, KS)

It should be noted that these are some of the bigger and more reestablished Viaje accounts in the country. Tower has received numerous single store releases including the Exclusivo Chiquito and Tower 45th and The Humidor was home to the Platino Five Fifty Eight, which is one of Viaje’s quietest releases to date.
