Things are changing at Padilla that will mean a near complete overhaul of blends. Ernesto Padilla told halfwheel that he is discontinuing four of his prominent lines: 1932, Artemis, Dominus and Miami — all of which were most recently made at factories owned by Eduardo Fernandez and Paul Palmer’s Tabacalera Tropical.

Coming instead will be two new blends out of Miami, Invictus and a Maduro line. Invictus will be made by El Titan de Bronze in Calle Ocho with a price tag of $10-$13 per cigar. Padilla publicly announced the cigar will be available in limited quantities and come in 10 count boxes. The small Miami factory owned by Sandra Cobas and Padilla teamed up last year for the rerelease of the Padilla 8 & 11. Padilla tweeted the following band artwork:

In addition, TABOLISA, the Estelí, Nicaragua factory home to Oliva Family of Cigars, will be making the new Padilla Reserve. The Olivas and Padilla released the Padilla/Studio Tobac Figurado last year and it had been known another project was in the works for some time.

Padilla told halfwheel he will continue to work with Tabacalera Tropical/AGANORSA. The Padilla Legacies will continue to be made by the team of Fernandez and Palmer and Padilla will still use AGANORSA leaf in many of his new lines.
