Andre Farkas just put this up on his Facebook page, so I guess this is now on the record cigar news. Another Viaje will be out as Farkas does two events next week in Minnesota. It should be noted that rarer than the cigars themselves is probably the fact that Andre is doing two events in such a short time, as the events are pretty rare.

(Edit) — These aren’t based off of the WMD or the MOAB, these are different blend, one that Farkas thinks is his best. The name allegedly comes from the effect that one gets after finishing a MOAB or a WMD, apparently one would be like a Zombie after these. (This is what I’ve been told, so scream all you want about The Monster Series, but that’s what Viaje is saying.) Interestingly, it is triple-capped on both ends, but you are only supposed to cut one end and treat the other like you would a more traditional closed foot. Once again, not a Skull and Bones blend, but a Nicaraguan puro. Edit II: Farkas responded on Facebook:

This blend is not based on WMD, which I see you corrected. Zombie is its own blend. Zombie is triple capped on both ends with a round head and foot. This is not a Perfecto. The name comes from peoples transformation into Zombies after being exposed to radiation from the WMD release.

(Edit II) — Pic added, Farkas also responded to some similar comments as the one’s below via his Facebook, stating:

Zombie was born out of WMD and was in no way meant to compete with Tatuaje. Pete has created an incredible product that has found tremendous success. It is a shame that comparisons have been made. This was never the intent.

(Edit III) — More of an update. Tobacco Grove has more pics (including the thumbnail) of the cigar and pre-order info here. Pre-orders go live Friday the 22nd at 7PM EST via this link. It is very likely that if you pre-order a box it will not ship until the following week as Tobacco Grove is not expecting to receive the full shipment until then. If you have any questions, the staff at Tobacco Grove is rather friendly.

These cigars will be offered in two rounds, first Friday the 22nd and then again on Saturday the 23rd. Twenty boxes will be offered at Tobacco Grove (the same store that got the Viaje Samurai and Tatuaje Black Label Petite Lancero) in the store for the Farkas event while thirty more will be put online for sale. Twenty will be available the next day at BURN Premium in Minnesota and the remaining thirty will go online. It’s a black band with a green logo, or so I’ve been told — el niño diablo.
