Review: Undercrown Corona ¡Viva! (Prerelease)
In early December 2011, Erik Calviño of Cigar Snob Magazine posted this picture of a preproduction Undercrown. Shortly thereafter, it was confirmed that the name was in fact Undercrown Corona ¡Viva!, a Corona Gorda-sized extension to Undercrown lineup that was set to debut in Spring of 2012. Review: Liga Privada No. 9 (2006)
In July 2006, the Liga Privada No. 9 made its first public debut at Drew Estate’s RTDA booth. The story has been told numerous times, but just for kicks, here’s what Drew Estate President Steve Saka said about it back before it was commercially released: Liga Privada No. 9 is the product of a cigar [...]
News: Drew Estate Launches iPhone App
Two things from Drew Estate on the social media/online front. Weekly News (November 7, 2011)
Editor’s Note: There is one story that we have chosen not to publish this week. The reason behind this is the story’s origins include information that we don’t publish, specifically wholesale pricing. Review: Liga Privada EV-10
Today is the story of two very different Lanceros born from the same mother, in the same factory and conceived around the same time. One has been smoked by a few individuals and seems destined to be the next regular production sensation from Drew Estate. The other? Like many Lanceros made in ultra small quantities, [...]
Review: Liga Privada Único Serie L40
The narrative we tell today is one of two very different cigars, both born in the Drew Estate factory and both inspired by the Dirty Rat. While almost no one has heard of the Liga Privada EV-10, the L40 is a cigar that’s generated quite a bit of buzz. And unlike the EV-10, the L40 is bound for production and set to make an appearance at the IPCPR show in Las Vegas, two months from now.
Weekly News (April 18, 2011)
Who said April was a slow cigar news month? After the jump is a massive news post with perhaps more release announcements than any other week besides IPCPR. I’m not sure what’s going on in the middle of May, but there sure are a lot of cigars coming out then. Anyways, after the jump, Viaje, [...]
