News: La Aurora 107 Lancero Confirmed

First off, I apologize for the lack of updates, the hotel WiFi is awful. Straight from Mr. Jason Wood’s Twitter account, it’s confirmed – the La Aurora 107 Lancero is happening. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit, but it’s coming. I spoke to Mike from Buckhead Cigar and he confirmed that the first sampling, even with little age on them, was quite good. Can’t wait to get ahold of them…

Update: Guillermo just confirmed these will be released October 7, 2010 in boxes of twenty-one.

Thanks to Guillermo, José, Jason, Mike and all those that had a hand in this.

Update #2: Jason Wood just sent this over, here’s how to order:

  • We will begin to take orders, via Twitter, (@miamicigar) starting Monday September 13 @ 9 am. Direct Message (DM) only.
  • Limited pre release of 300 boxes (21 cigars)
  • 1st ever 100% b driven promotion, demand for this size was expressed via Twitter
  • Boxes will arrive here the last week in October to be delivered to stores before Halloween
  • We can only sell to retailers, no consumer purchases. Consumers must let their tobacconist know about the promo.

I like to think I had some small part in the creation of this cigar and it only seems right this cigar is distributed on Twitter, where the cigar was essentially created. There are still some final details that are a bit unclear, but I’ll update this as they come to me.

Thanks to Guillermo, José, Jason, Mike and all those that had a hand in this.

My understanding is it will be a $7-$9 with Nicaraguan binder and filler in a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. I tweeted a review of it a few days ago. The Tatiana line of flavored cigars also received a Cognac flavored cigar. Finally, Guillermo and Jason confirmed to me that my beloved La Aurora 107 Lancero is happening. [...]
