Altadis has recently added a pair of lines to their value-oriented Casa de Garcia line, the Casa de Garcia Red and the Casa de Garcia Nicaragua.

The Casa de Garcia Red is made in the Dominican Republic and uses a Connecticut wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Honduras. It is described as mild with a touch of sweetness and is available in three sizes, each packaged in a 20-count bundle:

• 4 3/4 x 50 Robusto – MSRP $1.70
• 5 1/2 x 50 Toro – MSRP $1.85
• 6 1/2 x 50 Churchill – MSRP $1.95

The Casa de Garcia Nicaraguan is also made in the Dominican Republic but uses a Nicaraguan wrapper and binder over filler from the Dominican Republic. It is described as medium to fuller bodied and is available in four sizes, each coming in 20-count bundles:

• 5 1/2 x 44 Corona – MSRP $1.65
• 4 3/4 x 50 Robusto –  MSRP $1.70
• 5 1/2 x 50 Toro – MSRP $1.85
• 6 1/2 x 50 Churchill – MSRP $1.95

Both lines have begun shipping to retailers.
