News: Cain F Lancero Shipping This Week

The scheduled late 2012 batch of Cain F Lancero Tubos is shipping to retailers this week. It’s the third formal shipment of the cigar, following the January and July 2012 shipments, which were actually one large batch.

Once again, packaging delays with the tubes are listed as the culprit for the delay, but Oliva says the 5,000 box shipment will begin heading to retailers this week. Pricing remains the same as the July shipment, $6.30 per cigar, or $63.00 per box.

The Cain F Lancero is expected to be a limited release for the foreseeable future, although it’s unclear when Oliva intends on shipping the next batch given the delays with the first three. The cigar debuted as the first STUDIO TOBAC creation in 2010 before finding its way in the 2011 STUDIO TOBAC World Tour Sampler and a debut at IPCPR 2011. In addition the cigar was included in the STUDIO TOBAC Lancero Exclusive Collection in late 2011.

Finally smoked this well talked about cigar earlier this week. In a word - "fab-u-lous" "sublime" "teriffic"! All the hype regarding this vitola is spot on. Could not believe how smooth and sweet this cigar was. So mesmerized that I let it go out a couple of times. Did not mind relighting it each time. The score for this one might possibly be on the low side.

Important to note and give credit to the place where I enjoyed this smoke. The place is called CCC - Connecticut Cigar Company, Stamford, CT - on Bank Street. This place is arguably one of the best kept secrets in the country. Stellar cool vibe; just the right size, very well furnished, excellent service, jammin soundtrack, you name it.

They have a very nice bar that is manned by attractive women (only one is on duty on a given night) but their service and friendliness is outstanding. Nice selection of scotch and wines, beers. They have several individual leather chairs and at least three sets of facing couches with tables; two flat screen TV's. Well above average to great ventilation system. In fact, every time I'm there, I hardly ever notice any hanging smoke. Again, a VERY nice, comfortable, attractive lounge.

CCC is a MUST visit if you are in the Stamford,CT area and I highly endorse this place.

Patrick/gentlemen, I greatly appreciate your quick and helpful responses.  I'm not sure how I missed the reviews of this cigar but thanks to each of you, I'm now primed to by a few boxes.  Thank you again.

I have one that's been sitting in my humi for over a year. I forgot all about it. I will have to give it try and see if age did anything for it.

Gentlemen, what's the flavor profile. I'm a big fan of the Lancero size?

@Komodota Very full bodied. I believe it's a Habano wrapper.

@MattyBlayze I picked up three boxes last January. Totally, totally worth it.
