News: Illusione Begins Shipping New Singluaré
The 2011 and 2012 editions of the Illusione Singularé have begun shipping as of Friday, July 13, according to a tweet from Dion Giolito, owner of Illusione Cigars. Earlier, a retailer and a source within the company mentioned the cigars were slated to begin shipping next week.
Details of the cigar seem to be in line with what has been reported to date. A retailer and a source within the company say that the 15-count boxes will include both the 2011 and 2012 Singularés, with eight of one cigar and seven of the other being included. Reports have suggested that the cigars will be packed in alternating sequence, meaning some boxes will have eight of the 2011 and seven of the 2012, while others will have the inverse.
The size and price remain the same as the ~Singularé 2010~ - a 6 x 50 parejo with a MSRP of $12.
As for the cigars, the blend is different from 2010, though the 2011 and 2012 will share similar binder and filler. One will have a Maduro wrapper and the other will have a natural wrapper, with the Maduro will coming wrapped in a piece of tissue paper. What has not been confirmed is which version is being associated with which year.
There hasn’t been any word as to whether or not the name Phantom or any other name will be associated with the Singularé 2011 and 2012.
Previously it was announced that ~Singularé~ would be made in Nicaragua, a departure from Illusione’s normal home at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras.
UPDATE: An original version of this story quoted a source indicating the cigars would ship next week. Dion Giolito later tweeted the cigars began shipping Friday July 13th:

Just picked up the first 2 sticks out of a box my B&M was getting ready to put out on the floor. Both were the tissue-wrapped maduros, I wish I had picked up a natural to compare. Damn! I should have asked why I was seeing 2 different types of packaging (tissue/ cellophane). Nevertheless, I'm a happy camper. Dion has never let me down, I honestly can't say that about anyone else.
Everything you say that hasn't been confirmed actually has. There is a name for this year's Singulares and the varieties were already given2010 and 2011 designations. This was reported elsewhere in May...though I'm surprised you didn't just make up the details likeyou usually do when you don't have the facts.
Oh yes!!!!!!! Been hanging in to my last 2 for a long time in hopes of this.
The Singulare 2010 is the best stick Dion has ever made. I really hope he puts out other cigars with that blend!! In any case, I'll give the new ones a try.
