All, if you are looking for the MF blended versions, check out/call Famous-Smoke,  The box I of Nuclear I received from them had the MF seal!

Smoked a Headley Grange robusto, La Bomba robusto (from My Father factory), Viaje TNT, and LFD Ligero robusto last night.  The La Bomba was the strongest, but it wasn't any sort of overwhelming strength.

I believe 601 (and most other EO cigars) were originally produced by Pepin Garcia's MF factory; since the split of Espinosa and Ortega last year, apparently production of the 601 lines has been moved to Erik Espinosa's La Zona factory. Could explain the difference in strength and why it has been so hard to consistently find the Atomic vitola...

@Fat Woody So if I got a box from the MF factory, I can expect the "original" blend?

@MatthewJohnZeigler Yes, I would think so; do you have a MF box? Would be interested in your opinion on strength of MF vs. La Zona...

@Fat Woody Well I'll tell you this, I must have smoked La Zona's before, because this MF La Bomba got my stomach moving and with how much I smoke and my tolerance to "Full" cigars, that's saying something.  Impressed with the power of this one over the La Zona version.  Famous-Cigar's has the MF versions, I'd suggest you call and ask for which ones specifically because I clearly got lucky with my order of a box of La Bomba Nuclear's... glad I did too!

@Fat Woody It's gone man. That bomba is no more. RIP

A sad state of affairs if true! I got a box of Atomics with the La Zona seal recently and just tried one tonight; still a flavorful smoke, but definitely lacked the power of the originals.

Been wanting to give them a try. Eddie and Erik have always done right by me.

I only have to smoke one? Meh. Could use a deep ash tray to replace my mason jar though. ;)

@RichC I've got say I still cite this as one of the strongest cigars I can remember trying. I remember smoking this when it came out and it seemed to be balls to the wall spice and strength.

@Patrick Lagreid The current version definitely has mellowed. Not sure if it was a blend tweak or just the age has toned it down. OR's had some balls to them.

@CigrGy @dpike @Patrick Lagreid I'm thinking dpike is right on this one - something must have changed since the ORs. I remember smoking some of the first to hit retail in Phoenix and they were more Bomba than Sparkler, to borrow from CigrGy. I might have to go humidor diving to see if I have any laying around for comparison.

The winner of the five-pack of Flor de las Antillas Lanceros has been announced.
